VOLUME Pika Project
I was one of 50 artists who sold screen prints at the "Volume: Prints for Purpose" show, with all of the proceeds benefitting the cause of each artist's choice. All of the proceeds of my print sales went to the Colorado Pika Project.
I help monitor local pika populations to track the long-term impacts of climate change as a Pika Patroller with Rocky Mountain Wild. This is a role that perfectly merges my passion for hiking with data-driven conservation. I wanted this print to capture the pika’s "all-summer hustle," incorporating their food sources as they gather and prepare for the winter season.
I loved being able to take direct action to protect regional biodiversity; it was a privilege to support the Colorado Pika Project not only in science but also in art to ensure our mountains remain a thriving habitat for the vulnerable species that call them home.
